Dental Work
Closing my eyes
In the summer night
Clouds of gnats swirl up
Against the black.
I have no tattoos
Just some gold
To mark a place
And put a smile
Where something crumbled.
I live in hope
That when we tire
Of feeling sorry for ourselves
We’ll finally begin
To pity each other.

55 words (including the title) for my friend Shay's friend, G-man, and his Friday Flash 55 word challenge
A 55 with definite bite! LOL ;)
ReplyDeleteI can pity you, if it will make you feel any better. (LOL!) Interesting 55!
ReplyDeleteHedgewich...?

ReplyDeleteGreat 55! I'm not one for the dentist, but beautifully conveyed!
ReplyDeleteThanks all. And thanks to the G-man for the set-up--this was a great challenge to me--I've only recently learned how to say something on twitter in 140 characters--now you want 55 words! But it was fun, and I'm sure it was good for me. I suffer badly from the tl;dr (too long;didn't read) syndrome. ;-)
ReplyDeleteThat was cool! :)
ReplyDeletelove your 55.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you play.

Uh ohh... gold fillings.. "things" crumbling.. I am getting the CREEPS!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd to think I'm writing this WHILE munching on a Milky Way bar! :)
