Warrior

Warrior

The warrior walks
across the sky tonight
spinning the tale of resilience
twisting the tale of valor
wearing the worked hide of stars,
supple in battle yet
turning no blade;
marked for an early death
or a bloody age--
yet who would want to pass
through this night of sorrow and wrong
without a fight?

  1. This is stuff to stir the fighting blood in we descendants of vikings... but for whom are we fighting? What good a shield wall when the enemy is within?

  2. superb call to the warriors, now is not the time to sit back, to let be what will be, now's the time to take charge, take back control.

  4. A goodly mace, balanced and weighted and spiked with angst: but how do we go down? Defeated, the work is now in the cauldron which one could brew regeneration, although now I wonder if it bleeps more than a "Like" on the celestial feed. Sigh. Hard day.
