River
Deserted words
empty-tongued wind
calling ghosts up out of graves of unquiet days…
voices in the air…
Kissing under the piano drinking wine,
pull me closer with hands of roses,
with Arab pictures brown inside your eyes…
Sand and horses, incense,
Dry licking wind…
Another desert
Crossed by water.
