Musical Interlude

I'm taking a few days off, folks--I'll leave you with some music till I get back:

  1. Your music selections always add sunshine to my day. The Blue Sky clip was awesome. I mostly know Warren Haynes from Government Mule. His solo was so good...Wow.

    1. Two of the best guitar solos out there, his and Dicky Betts' on that one, imo. Gov't Mule rocks largely.

  4. I enjoyed the entire concert of favorites. I am still unaccountably drawn to the Hendrix, but you pick all of the best. Happy trails and year ends.

  5. Hi, Joy Ann, I saw you in my reader. Have a nice mini-vacation. Love the Allman Brothers, that brings back some memories. :)

  6. Have a good break. Not commenting on other. Enjoy the season! And music! My December a bit crazy--but could be very good if I can approach it all with sense of calm. (Ha.) k.

    1. Hope all will be calm, all will be bright. ;_) We're getting out of town to the woods for the holidays and I'm looking forward to it a lot, but lots to do first. Best to you and yours, k.

    2. So nice. Thanks. We are finally having my father's ashes interred at Arlington Cemetery (as veteran), and then need to get through end of year work rush. Arlington will be good truly, but sobering, especially as a very close relative (I don't like to go into details) has just been deployed in Eastern Afghanistan. Thinking and worrying about him is a much bigger daily pressure worrying than I could have anticipated. Of course, our pressure is the least of it! But I am confident that things will be a bit easier in new year, and maybe they'll bring troops home sooner now that election is done. We can but hope. Have a great time in woods. Pack wool! k.

    4. That's so annoying, Shay. I hope you'll be able to get it fixed or replaced soon. But think of all the backlog of poems you'll have for us. Take good care of yourself.

    5. Well, ceremonies like the interment are very important markers, I think, and helpful once the waiting is over. And yes, having someone close go into that environment, so far away, so out of one's control, very difficult, k. I hope all goes well, and I too hope our men and women will be home sooner rather than later. I shouldn't need wool here, (which is good since it makes me itch) but I have some excellent thermals. ;_)
